I'm Harriet, the founder, planner and unashamed romantic behind Dorset Wedding Co. With a background in West End theatre and storytelling, I bring organisation, imagination and a flair for the extraordinary to every celebration I plan.

What I care about most is what matters to you, and how you want the day to feel. Not what a wedding is supposed to look like, and not what I'd choose. The best days I've been part of are the ones that are unmistakably the couple's own.

Whether you want help with the whole thing or just someone to hold it all together on the day, we'll start with what you want — and what you absolutely don't. And if you love a bit of atmosphere, I know singers, musicians, magicians, fire performers and artists along the Jurassic Coast I'd happily put in front of you.

On a personal note, I'm a gay woman, and planning my own wedding to my wife is what led me here. Our planner was unresponsive, pushed her own ideas onto our day and made what should have been an exciting time feel stressful and impersonal. I started Dorset Wedding Co so that no couple, whoever they are and whatever their day looks like, has to feel that way. You'll always be heard, championed and put first.
